COVID-19 Safety Precautions at Carle

As pandemic-related guidelines and timelines evolve, it’s important for us to have a multilayered plan for the gradual reopening of our studio—one that prioritizes your dancers’ and staff’s health, reassures our families that it’s safe to return and allows us to operate our business to the fullest extent. Please keep in mind that flexibility will be key: It’s possible our county may experience a spike in new cases of COVID-19, requiring our studio’s plan to take a step or two backward before it moves forward again.

We have been diligently preparing a flexible, responsive and well-considered studio reopening.

We will be implementing a drop-off-only system, with a masked staff member at our studio’s entrance who can facilitate temperature checks, required health screening questions and admit entry.

As we will arrange classes so that we are able to maintain the appropriate social distancing requirements, students will not be required to wear masks during classes. However, we would like them to wear them when they arrive and leave. It is our obligation to make sure we keep everyone safe (staff and students). In the even that unforeseen circumstances prevent us from maintaining 6 feet of separation, we want to make sure that all students do have a mask with them.

We have installed hand-sanitizer stations in every studio, and our faculty will be encouraging students to visit them frequently—before, during and after class.

Our classes’ start and end will be staggered by 5 to 10 minutes to reduce crossover. To the best of our ability, we will designate certain studios for certain age groups, so kids aren’t going between studios. All dancers are asked to enter and leave the studio in their dancing to minimize the number of people in dressing rooms and bathrooms.

And, of course, we have a plan for cleaning high-touch surfaces—barres, doorknobs, bathrooms, etc.—thoroughly and frequently.

If you have any concerns, suggestions or specific circumstances that would be beneficial for us to know, please do not hesitate to reach out to us!
