What Treble Troupe is all about.
Two 90-minute classes per week for ages 8–12. Real technical training, real progress, real performance opportunities.
If you've grown up at Carle, this is where it gets serious. Dancers advance their soft shoe technique while building a full hard shoe repertoire, working on the rhythm, power, and precision that hard shoe demands.
If you're new and starting here, you're in good hands. Every new dancer is paired with a Studio Buddy, a seasoned classmate who shows them the ropes and pals around with them from day one, so no one walks into their first class without a friendly face.
Classes follow the school year calendar, September through June, with two 90 minute sessions each week. Enough time to really dig into technique, choreography, and the specific pieces that make Treble Troupe such a milestone level.

What shoes does my dancer need?
Treble Troupe dancers use both soft shoes (ghillies) and hard shoes. If your dancer is new to hard shoe, we'll let you know exactly when and what to order so you're not guessing.
What should my dancer wear?
Comfortable, fitted activewear: shorts or leggings and a t-shirt or tank top. Hair pulled back. No jeans, loose pants or skirts, or open-toed shoes.
Is there a recital?
No single end-of-year recital. Your dancer will have far more chances to perform than that could ever offer. Think parades, nursing home visits, Irish festivals, hockey and baseball games, elementary school performances, private parties, and community celebrations. Every family writes their own script for how involved they want to be. We just make sure the stage is ready.
Do I stay for class?
Carle Irish Dance is a drop-off studio, no waiting room. Kids focus best without parents, and it's amazing how quickly they settle in once class starts. That said, we go at the pace that feels right for both you and your dancer. We're never sending you off with a child who isn't ready. We'll always make an exception and reach out right away if that's what's needed.
Will my dancer know anyone?
Every new dancer is paired with a Studio Buddy, a classmate who shows them the ropes and pals around with them from day one. It's an instant friend the minute they walk in the door.
